Until It Is Quiet Again

"Until It Is Quiet Again" is a visio-audio installation that immerses the viewer in complete darkness, revealing words on canvases that appear empty by day. As viewers focus on the text, the words slowly fade, mirroring the ephemeral nature of thought and memory under extreme stress.
The installation is accompanied by an audio recording made by the artist in her Kyiv apartment at night. The soundscape begins with the distant hum of drones circling the city—a familiar nightly presence for many Ukrainians—and gradually intensifies as the drone appears to approach, culminating in a sudden, terrifying noise that signals imminent attack.
By combining sight and sound, the work invites viewers to inhabit the psychological and emotional reality of life under war.
